Bathtub Installation
- Check all the built-in accessories e.g. hand grip, Built-in
spout. If it is loosen use the proper tool to tight it up.
- After having inspected the tub condition, examine the
popup waste and overflow if it is not pre-installed then
install it according to the provided instruction in the
popup waste and overflow carton or in the appendix. Checking
the center of popup waste and the drain pipe to be in the
same position for easily connecting.
- There are three(3) Methods to installing the bathtub as
per the illustrated picture in the following pages. Selecting
the most suitable method and prepare the place for installation.
Place the bathtub on the required position and install according
to the bathtub standard procedure (Either using mortar or
steel support to mount the bathtub) The edge of bathtub
can be hold by brick wall, steel support or angle or any
hard material edge. Checking that the bathtub is firmly
supported and level.
- Connect the popup waste drain with the drain pipe. Checking
for the leakage of the drain. Recommend to have the siphon
trap at the drain pipe to prevent any bad smell which may
bad smell which may occur.
- Seal the joint between the edge of bathtub and the wall
with sealant.
- Connect the bathtub/shower mixer and fill in water to
test leakage again.
- For whirlpool bathtub, the support is pre-installed thus
preparing the place for installation then place the bathtub
on the required position and connect the popup waste drain
with the drain pipe. Checking for the leakage of the drain.
Checking that the bathtub is firmly supported and level.
After that seal the joint between the edge of bathtub and
the wall sealant.
